The Plum Tree, Part 3

Here’s a little bonus post this weekend: a very short poem that continues the story of the plum tree, a neighborhood landmark that often inspires my own flights of fancy. You can also check out Part 1 and Part 2 if you’d like.

Today
I ran to the plum tree
And said hello to my old friend
It’s been awhile
Too long, I said
And we rejoiced
That I can run this far again
And I imagined her
Leaves waving to me as I
Turned around
And ran away again

  1. I don’t know if it’s just my email or if something glitched, but the content after the image is missing. Thought you’d want to know. 😃

Hope you’re doing well. God bless you guys.
