From Goal to Action: Self-Care

March 31, 2023 ~ Rebecca Meek ~ Leave a comment

Well, dear readers, we've spent the better part of the last three months breaking down my goals into actionable steps, and we've finally made it to the last goal: self care. I've posted about self-care before, you can read that post here. And I'm happy to report that the foot surgery referenced in that post … Continue reading From Goal to Action: Self-Care

From Goal to Action: Teaching

February 28, 2023 ~ Rebecca Meek ~ Leave a comment

You might not know it based on what I focus on in my writing, but I am a teacher. I'm an elementary music teacher, which brings its own set of challenges and rewards, but I'm also a teacher outside of the classroom. Over the years, I've taught professional development classes to my colleagues, I've taught … Continue reading From Goal to Action: Teaching

From Goal to Action: Home Life

February 13, 2023February 10, 2023 ~ Rebecca Meek ~ Leave a comment

Housekeeping. Besides ironing and grocery shopping, it's probably my least favorite chore. And for years, I've had loads of help with this area of my life: assigned weekly chores for my children to help complete. But now that they are older and have their own lives, it doesn't quite work to have a chore chart … Continue reading From Goal to Action: Home Life

From Goal to Action: Life Rhythms

February 6, 2023February 3, 2023 ~ Rebecca Meek ~ Leave a comment

The needles click-clack in rhythm with Murder, She Wrote, and I sit at her feet, mesmerized by the sound, the way her fingers deftly throw the yarn for each new stitch, the way the blanket seems to magically unfurl with each new row. I learned the art of yarn craft, first knitting and later crochet, … Continue reading From Goal to Action: Life Rhythms

2023 Goals

January 6, 2023 ~ Rebecca Meek ~ Leave a comment

We are almost a week into the New Year, and some of us have already given up on our New Year's resolutions. That's assuming that we actually set any. This is why, several years ago, I switched from resolutions to goals. Yes, dear readers, it's that time of year again. Sharing my updated annual goals … Continue reading 2023 Goals

Happy #menumonday, friends! I can't believe that we are already in the final week of October. I love October, and in some ways, it feels like this month has flown by. While I miss our "usual" October-y things, like cross country meets and more apples than I know what to do with, I do have … Continue reading {Menu Monday: 10.26.20)

ย  Well. I did NOT see that coming. {Bravery and beta readers}

March 23, 2018December 21, 2020 ~ Rebecca Meek ~ 1 Comment

Trying to get brave over here.ย  Last summer I finished writing my first book, a cute little story about a boy named Hank and his summer adventures with his friend, Jake, all while visiting his Great-Aunt Leova and Great-Uncle Henry.ย  Since finishing, Iโ€™ve let a couple of people read it, and have spent a good … Continue reading {Bravery and beta readers}

{Word of the year: TRUST}

January 30, 2018December 21, 2020 ~ Rebecca Meek ~ Leave a comment

Living With Intention 2018.  It's going to be an intentional year for goals.  Last year, I had a few goals, and I accomplished some of them, and others I failed at miserably.  This year, I have more tools to help me be intentional, but more than that, I feel like I can really do this … Continue reading {Word of the year: TRUST}

About Me

I'm so glad you're here! I encourage women to live their legacy through the stories I write, inspired by family, home, and hope-filled happily ever afters. I'm a musician, pastor's wife, and mom to three adult children, one cool son-in-law, and an adorable mutt named Dolly. We love exploring the running trails and paddle-boarding areas near our home in Spokane, WA.
